If you can tear yourself away from the view from the sun terrace (photograph above) Cordoba (100 miles), Granada (45 miles) and the busy Costa del Sol resorts are a short drive away and Gibraltar (115 miles) is a quick and easy drive along the autovia. The house comprises three floors, a ground floor lounge (adjacent photograph) with satellite TV (receiving English channels), DVD & CD players, leads through to a fully fitted kitchen/ diner with microwave, oven and hob. Just outside the kitchen door is a handy cloakroom with toilet and wash basin. Upstairs the double bedroom (photograph below) is at the front of the house with views over the village and the second bedroom has full sized twin beds. On up to the main bathroom with overbath shower. The washing machine is situated in the bathroom and there are clothes drying facilities on the sun terrace. An iron and ironing board are close at hand. The furnished south-facing sun terrace is not overlooked and affords stunning views of the Montes de Málaga and a bird's eye view of the Spanish way of life below. There is nowhere in the village better to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of a satisfying day In the house there is information on all the attractions that Andalucia has to offer along with the seasonal and daily opening times of places like the Alhambra Palace in Granada (photograph below) and the sea Life centre in Benalmadina. Visit Jerez and be educated in the bodegas where sherry is still made today in the traditional way by household names like Gonzalez Byass, Sandeman & Harveys (and learn that there's more to do with it than putting it in your Christmas trifle!). The Sierra Nevada mountains are only an hour away and can be seen as a glorious backdrop to Granada. Visit in the winter and early spring for a snowball fight in the sunshine or in late spring and early summer for breathtaking views and mountain flowers.. an attraction at any time of the year. There are comprehensive guidebooks of things to do in and around the area. In the house there is a collection of CDs & DVDs for your use along with novels and guide books, board games and jigsaws, and we provide that all important map of the village too. All bed linen with seasonal weight duvets for autumn through to spring, and cool sheets for summer are included in the price as are bath and hand towels. There are heaters in every room if required and a variety of fans for the summer. There is a washing machine in the bathroom and ample drying space on the terrace. Should you require occasional internet access to keep in touch with family or to book tickets to the Alhambra Palace (which we advise as it gets very busy in summer) this can be arranged at our home which is only a 10 minute walk from Casa Lindo, although there is an internet café in the village too.
